The name "Hegemony Productions" emanates from a pivotal Master's Degree class that opened my eyes, and life, to understanding the paradigm of societal power structures, AKA "Hegemony," and how they attempt to influence society and cultural dynamics through overt and/or covert actions to benefit themselves and maintain their power.

The tagline, "The Power to Influence," relates directly to this construct.  I thought it fit well with how our society is manipulated and driven through music and images woven into and disseminated by an array of diverse media.
